SandboxAQ is a high-growth company delivering AI solutions for life sciences, cybersecurity, and beyond. As an Machine Learning Engineer on AQCell, you will build and maintain ML models and the data infrastructure powering our virtual cell platform, guiding transcriptomic and functional-endpoint predictions into real drug-discovery decisions.

You will work with large, heterogeneous datasets (LINCS L1000, GDSC, DepMap) and collaborate with computational biologists, software engineers, and product

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or quantitative field; MS/PhD preferred.
• Proven experience building and maintaining ML models in a scientific/industrial setting.
• Experience managing large-scale datasets and training models at scale.
• Strong Python skills and experience with PyTorch or JAX; experiment tracking tools.

Responsabilités

• Design, train, and maintain ML models for expression-perturbation and functional endpoints.
• Manage large-scale biological datasets and data pipelines across cell, drug, and assay identifiers.
• Automate evaluation pipelines and establish robust baselines for model benchmarking.
• Translate ideas from literature into production-ready code integrated into the modeling framework.
• Collaborate with biologists, software engineers, and product stakeholders to ensure practical usefulness.
• Document methods, assumptions, and results for technical and non-technical audiences.
