Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Platform Engineer to build the foundational infrastructure powering feature engineering, model training, and model serving across the company. You will support fraud detection, personalization, and blockchain analysis with scalable ML systems.

You will own ML inference reliability, streaming pipelines, and distributed training, while mentoring engineers and advancing platform capabilities across discovery, serving, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a software engineer with distributed systems ownership.
• Experience building/operating low-latency ML infrastructure.
• Track record mentoring engineers and raising code quality.
• Familiarity with ML platform components to partner with ML engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own design and reliability of ML inference infrastructure at scale.
• Build low-latency streaming pipelines delivering feature data to models.
• Improve distributed training infrastructure for large data volumes.
• Develop observability tooling for data quality and degradation detection.
• Mentor junior engineers to raise engineering standards.
