Job summary

Annapurna Labs (U.S.) Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Lab Engineer to manage laboratory activities and drive automation. You will support hardware and software teams, handle lab setup and maintenance, and collaborate with vendors for equipment.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects across sites while meeting time-to-market, cost, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 6+ years of related experience in engineering labs.
• 6+ years of soldering and rework skills (0402, QFNs, etc.).
• Experience reading schematics and PCB layout.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience managing inventory and procurement of components and equipment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and keep detailed logs of rework and revision history.

Responsibilities

• Manage the organization’s lab activities and develop solutions to improve lab automation.
• Support Hardware and Software Engineering teams with lab setup and maintenance; coordinate with vendors and internal groups for lab equipment.
• Provide technical support for product development projects in the ML lab, including AWS Server integration and maintenance.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, start-up like environment; be hands-on, highly motivated, and detail-oriented while meeting time-to-market, cost, and quality goals.
