Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join the ML Infrastructure team.

You will help manage Apple’s large ML compute platform, multi-cloud storage, and caching solutions, ensuring high availability and efficiency across the Apple ecosystem. You will design, deploy, and operate scalable systems with Kubernetes mastery, automate pipelines, and collaborate across open-source tools and internal services to keep services resilient across time zones and cloud

Qualifications

5+ years building, operating and scaling large applications in cloud environments.
Deep expertise in Kubernetes, including EKS, with hands-on experience.
Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust for developing tooling and services.
Experience with object storage technologies (e.g., S3) and networking.
Strong Linux internals knowledge and distributed systems design.

Responsibilities

Participates in on-call rotations and supports global operations across time zones.
Designs, builds, and operates scalable infrastructure for ML workloads.
Automates deployment, monitoring, and incident response across clusters.
Collaborates with open-source and internal tools to improve reliability.
Guides teams with best practices for large-scale distributed applications.
