Airbnb seeks a senior ML engineer to own end-to-end traffic-scoring models, balancing high-performance deployment with robust data pipelines. You will work with security, data platform, and international partners to ensure consistent classification and rapid responses.

The role demands deep expertise in production ML, non-stationary data, and scalable pipelines, with strong leadership and communication across teams.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of production ML in non-stationary, adversarial domains (e.g., traffic integrity, bot mitigation, or fraud).
• Experience architecting scalable, offline-to-online data pipelines.
• Strong evaluation practice with ROC/AUC, precision/recall, calibration.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of traffic-scoring models with real-time deployment.
• Architect robust offline-to-online pipelines with certified data sources.
• Optimize model inference within millisecond latency budgets at the edge.
• Collaborate with security, data platform, and infra teams to integrate scoring into mitigation workflows.
• Communicate model trade-offs to leadership and cross-functional teams.
