Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is seeking a skilled Machine Learning Engineer to join the shop Ads team in Los Angeles. You will build scalable ML systems to improve ad ranking and advertiser performance, collaborating across product, design and data science.

This role focuses on feature engineering, model evaluation, and exploring new ideas to enhance ads relevance and user experience. Strong SQL/Python and big data experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SQL and Python with data manipulation experience.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts, model evaluation and optimization.
• Experience with big data processing using Hadoop or Spark.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with unstructured data.
• Familiarity with ad tech or marketing algorithms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable machine learning systems and state-of-the-art models to improve ad ranking quality and optimize advertisers' marketing strategies.
• Explore, develop and experiment with new features to improve model accuracy.
• Understand ads platform objectives and apply modern ML to improve ads relevance, quality, and quantity delivered to end-users.
• Collaborate with Global counterpart, Product Managers, Designers, and other disciplines to explore the next generation of shopping experiences on TikTok.
