Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture LLC is hiring Software Engineers to help build and operate scalable ML infrastructure for ads, training and serving models at massive scale. The team collaborates across multiple internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts and introduce new technologies.

The role emphasizes on-site collaboration in Los Angeles with a focus on innovation, performance, and ownership. Candidates should have strong CS fundamentals and experience with ML frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in computer science or related technical disciplines.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in building and training complex and scalable machine learning systems.
• Understand mainstream machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc) and technologies including High Performance Computing, Applied ML models (MLP/Transformer/MoE), ML Hardware Acceleration (e.g., GPU/RDMA).
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals (coding, algorithms, data structures, software design) and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to think critically and to formulate solutions to problems in a clear and concise way;
• Effective communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
• Experience in managing projects.
• Experience in Ads domain.
• Experience with building large-scale ranking and machine learning infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects committed to building, optimizing and operating machine learning frameworks to empower large-scale Ads machine learning models training and serving.
• Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive engineering efforts.
• Drive the innovation efforts, and bring in new ideas and technologies.
