Job summary

Symbotic LLC is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to productionize ML systems for autonomous robotic fleets and build scalable deployment pipelines. You will develop health monitoring and data pipelines, collaborating with ML researchers to bring models into production.

Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow are required, along with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud platforms like Azure or GCP. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of related experience in ML engineering or production ML.
• Strong hands-on Python development skills.
• Experience building ML models from scratch with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Experience with predictive modeling and time-series analysis.
• Deep understanding of ML deployment and operationalization.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Jenkins and CI/CD environments.
• Experience with SQL and large-scale data systems.
• Experience with telemetry, sensors, or operational data and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve ML deployment infrastructure for large-scale robotic fleets.
• Partner with ML researchers to productionize new models.
• Design predictive health monitoring for autonomous robotic assets.
• Create automated monitoring, telemetry analysis, dashboards and KPI reporting.
• Develop data pipelines for dataset curation, labeling, training, validation and evaluation.
• Deploy ML models using ONNX, TensorRT, Docker, and edge computing platforms.
• Improve model rollout, validation and fleet deployment processes.
• Develop simulation and validation environments for testing and releases.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, CV and operations teams to improve reliability.
• Support CV applications including case detection, classification, dimension estimation and decision-making.
