Job summary

Tekmetric is seeking an ML engineer to operationalize models and features that power intelligent auto-shop workflows. You will build retrieval and embedding pipelines, craft LLM prompts, and deploy end-to-end recommendation solutions in a production cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in ML engineering with clear production experience, not just notebooks.
• Experience with embeddings, vector similarity, and ANN retrieval mechanisms.
• Hands-on with RAG, tool use, prompts, and context assembly; debug retrieval pipelines.
• Production-quality training and inference code in Python ecosystems.
• SQL or Spark data engineering basics; understanding data correctness and leakage.
• Experience deploying models in AWS (SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, Lambda).
• Workflow orchestration for ML pipelines (Airflow, Prefect, Kubeflow).

Responsibilities

• Design and build retrieval pipelines and embedding infrastructure.
• Own semantic search over operational data and hybrid retrieval.
• Develop end-to-end recommendation model pipelines with SageMaker inference.
• Define prompts and context for Bedrock-powered AI features in the product.
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate ML models into data pipelines.
• Ship scalable ML features and monitor performance in production.
