Job summary

Catena is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to advance the intelligence layer of our fleet-telematics platform. You will build scalable ML pipelines, with a focus on time-series and geospatial data, to deliver real-time predictions through our API.

We value 5+ years in production ML, strong Python API skills (FastAPI/Pydantic), and a solid MLOps foundation on AWS. This is a remote-friendly role with strong collaboration across backend and product teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building and deploying ML models in production.
• Expertise in time-series forecasting and geospatial data analysis.
• Strong background in anomaly detection and classical ML (XGBoost, RF, clustering).
• Production Python, API design (FastAPI/Pydantic), testing, and packaging.
• MLOps: deployment, containerization (Docker), monitoring, and AWS.
• Languages: Python, SQL; libraries: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow.
• Data infra: PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Kafka/Kinesis, Redis, Snowflake, AWS CDK (Python).
• MLOps & Cloud: Docker, AWS SageMaker/ECS/S3, GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Telematics Data Normalization: build ML pipelines to ingest and normalize high-frequency data.
• Geospatial & Time-Series Modeling to derive ETAs and route insights.
• Anomaly & Fraud Detection to guard against misuse in freight networks.
• Predictive Analytics for maintenance, dispatching, and risk scoring.
• Real-Time Inference & MLOps to meet low latency API requirements.
• Collaborate with backend and product teams to deploy ML microservices.
