Job summary

Instacart is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build real-time inventory models and deploy them at scale. You will own problems from framing to production, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product leads to deliver measurable business impact.

You will contribute to the Digital Twin Platform, ingest data from partners, and shape the modeling practice for a high-performance team operating with startup speed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML models in production.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines and diverse data.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and ML tooling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ML models that understand in-store inventory in real time.
• Own the full ML lifecycle from framing to production deployment with a focus on quality and impact.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and product leads to drive product innovation.
• Contribute to building the Digital Twin Platform infrastructure for data ingestion and observations.
• Define technical direction for an expanding modeling practice on a fast-moving team.
