Job summary

true-talent-solutions-partners in San Francisco, CA is seeking a senior ML/AI engineer to build the ML foundation for consumer software—from data pipelines and models to retrieval systems and inference infrastructure powering personalized experiences.

You will collaborate with product and design to turn complex AI capabilities into polished, user-friendly features, ship models end-to-end, and help raise ML practices in a small, high-ownership team. Visa sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software or ML engineering, focused on consumer AI.
• Experience shipping ML features from concept to users (personalization, ranking, search, recommendations).
• Hands-on with custom models including embeddings and personalization models.
• Strong Python skills; experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, vector databases.
• Background in ML/NLP/retrieval/LLMs with awareness of UX impact.
• Degree in CS, math, EE, or related field, or equivalent fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build ML and retrieval systems for core product experiences.
• Design data pipelines to ingest, classify, enrich, and summarize large volumes of user data.
• Develop scalable inference infrastructure for real-time and batch workloads.
• Select and fine-tune models, build embeddings and retrieval-augmented pipelines.
• Prototype new product ideas, then productionize successful approaches.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering to turn AI capabilities into polished features.
• Help establish strong ML practices across a small, high-ownership team.
