Unity is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of agentic AI within the Unity engine, empowering creators to build smarter, more responsive in-game agents and simulations. • 5+ years of hands-on ML systems development in production, ideally in real-time/environments.
• Strong background in RL, AI planning, or multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale AI agent systems within Unity environments.
• Develop reusable agentic frameworks like planning modules and memory systems.
• Build AI models for the Unity agentic system and optimize for real-time constraints.
• Lead initiatives in hierarchical RL, planning, and world modeling for NPCs and simulations.
• Collaborate across teams to enable innovative use cases in gaming and simulation.
