Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and deployment of next-generation AI agents and agentic capabilities. You will architect multi-step workflows, integrate retrieval-augmented generation, and optimize real-time ML systems for scalable production use.

The role requires deep expertise in NLP, Transformers, and enterprise AI, with leadership responsibilities and cross-functional collaboration across product, frontend, and backend teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred).
• 5+ years building ML systems in production with LLM experience.
• Strong NLP, Generative AI, transformer architectures, embeddings, and retrieval systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of next-gen AI Agents and Agentic Assist systems.
• Architect multi-step agent workflows with real-time guidance and retrieval.
• Design, deploy, and optimize LLM-powered systems including RAG pipelines and multi-agent orchestration.
• Improve reasoning, planning, and tool-use in real-world AI applications.
• Develop evaluation strategies for non-deterministic systems and LL M-as-a-judge methods.
• Diagnose and mitigate failure modes like hallucinations and retrieval errors.
• Define and measure quality metrics to improve reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical strategy.
