Job summary

Samsara is hiring for Safety AI ML Engineer to design production ML APIs, data pipelines and evaluation infra for fleet-scale safety features. You will partner with applied scientists, firmware and full-stack engineers to turn research into scalable, low-latency cloud systems that run on millions of devices, delivering real-time alerts and safe outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
• Experience shipping models in production and deploying ML applications.
• Strong proficiency in multiple programming languages listed above.
• Experience with edge-to-cloud model execution and cloud-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Design Production ML APIs and maintain low-latency cloud services.
• Build scalable data pipelines to power model iteration and evaluation.
• Productionize model artifacts and optimize serving for platform workloads.
• Process high-volume camera/sensor data for model execution and curation.
• Monitor rollout health, drift and latency, ensuring reliability.
