Job summary

Plaid Inc. is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in New York to own high-performance feature computation and online inference pipelines at scale. You will build observability, monitoring, and debugging capabilities while partnering with ML Infrastructure, Data Science, and Product teams to drive impactful ML initiatives.

You will contribute to a scalable fraud-detection platform and leverage Plaid’s financial network data to maintain reliability and security in production systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience building, deploying, and scaling production ML systems.
• Strong ML infra, deployment, monitoring and reliability expertise.
• Able to independently own end-to-end ML engineering projects.
• Proficient in Python and ML data tech (PyTorch, Spark, SageMaker, Airflow).

Responsibilities

• Build and scale ML systems powering a fraud detection product.
• Tackle complex ML infra and production reliability challenges.
• Develop ML capabilities using Plaid’s network data to detect fraud.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional partners.
