Job summary

Nuro is seeking an ML Software Engineer for the Online Mapping team to advance mapping models and onboard systems for autonomous driving. You will work with cameras and LiDAR data to build robust ML pipelines and mapping solutions.

The role requires strong Python and modern ML framework experience, with a focus on producing production-ready models and collaborating across autonomy, infrastructure, and systems teams to deliver reliable navigation capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proven record solving in-production ML problems and tradeoffs between data, model, and evaluation.
• Strong ML fundamentals with hands-on training/evaluation of modern ML models (AV, robotics, mapping, CV).
• Able to quickly iterate and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, and implement online mapping models and algorithms.
• Analyze system performance and identify architecture, data, or evaluation improvements.
• Collaborate with autonomy, infrastructure, and systems teams to integrate models into centralized architectures.
