Job summary

Nuro is building a universal autonomy platform and seeks experienced ML researchers and engineers to advance detection with sensor fusion, tracking, and fine-grained classification for autonomous driving.

You will work across all stages from concept to on-road performance, aiming to train scalable models while maintaining onboard latency. A strong background in deep learning and SWE will help you own challenging problems and push the technology forward.

Qualifications

• Recent experience applying state-of-the-art deep learning techniques to autonomous driving problems (detection, sensor fusion, multi-task learning).
• Strong ML fundamentals and demonstrated ability to build and expand model architectures.
• Strong SWE fundamentals with experience in Python and C++.
• Bonus: deploying models in real-time environments and optimizing architectures for accuracy vs compute tradeoffs.
• Bonus: experience productizing ML models and supporting model development infrastructure (data, large-scale training, evaluation).

Responsibilities

• Participate in all problem-solving stages from proof of concept to onboard deployment and on-road monitoring.
• Develop techniques to train models on massive data while keeping onboard latency in check.
• Own novel problems and dive deep to deliver impactful solutions.
