Job summary

Capital One seeks a senior leadership Machine Learning Engineer to design and scale AI capabilities from model development through production training and monitoring. You will join multi-tenant ML platforms and collaborate with Product and Data Science teams in an onsite role based in McLean, VA.

You will lead design and deployment of ML models, guide infrastructure choices, and ensure responsible AI practices while working in an Agile, cross-functional environment to deliver scalable ML

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related quantitative field.
• At least 6 years of experience programming with Python, Java, Golang, or C++.
• At least 6 years of Machine Learning experience using PyTorch or Tensorflow and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.
• At least 6 years using and operating large scale distributed systems like Spark and Ray for AI/ML data preparation.
• At least 4 years deploying and operating ML solutions in production, cloud, and using Kubernetes for large-scale ML systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver ML models and components with Product and Data Science teams.
• Build and scale multi-tenant platforms for ML training and serving at scale.
• Guide infrastructure decisions for model deployment, data selection, and tuning.
