Job summary

Badger Meter, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Machine Learning to lead end-to-end ML initiatives across a fleet of meters, sensors, radios, and IoT devices.

You will scope projects, build and deploy models, and monitor performance with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability and product quality. The role demands strong Python/SQL, ML modeling, time-series analytics, and experience with cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in machine learning, data science, or applied analytics.

Responsibilities

• Act as project lead engineer for machine learning initiatives; may lead a technical team.
• Define the scope of machine learning projects and investigations; develop or provide input to schedules and budgets.
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end machine learning pipelines, from data prep through training and deployment.
• Develop predictive models and AI tools to improve product performance and reliability.
• Monitor model performance, validate outputs against real-world data, and lead remediation when needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate model results into actionable insights.
