Job summary

Trunk Tools, Inc. in the United States is seeking a senior ML engineer to own and evolve core parts of our AI platform, including multi-agent orchestration and document processing pipelines built on Kubernetes.

You will drive end-to-end projects from problem framing to production, contribute to knowledge graphs, and help scale search, retrieval, and data extraction for field operations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and shipping production ML/AI systems.
• Proven track record of leading complex, ambiguous projects and driving them to impact.
• Strong experience with agentic systems, LLM-based applications, or orchestration frameworks.
• Deep experience in document processing pipelines (parsing, chunking, indexing, extraction) in distributed systems.
• Experience building or working with knowledge graphs / provenance graphs.
• Background in search/ranking NLP or large-scale data/ML infrastructure.
• Strong coding skills (Python, Go) with production focus.
• Highly analytical and product-minded, data-driven decision maker.
• Bonus: experience in construction or document-heavy industries.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve core parts of our AI platform, spanning search, retrieval, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Lead the design and build-out of a multi-agent system, defining agent pillars and production collaboration.
• Architect and scale document processing pipelines (Kubernetes-based) for ingestion, parsing, indexing, and structured extraction across document types.
• Design and iterate on search and retrieval systems grounded in user behavior and product needs.
• Help build and expand our knowledge graph modeling entities and relationships.
• Drive high-impact projects end-to-end from problem definition through experimentation and productionization.
• Establish evaluation and experimentation frameworks to measure system quality and guide iteration.
• Write clean, production-grade code and raise engineering quality across the team.
