Job summary

Expedia Group in Seattle seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and evolve scalable ML systems that power our travel supply, pricing, and surface layers across the global marketplace.

You will own end-to-end delivery of ML features, collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to translate business problems into ML solutions, and improve observability, reliability, and security while mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Java and ML fundamentals.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and production ML systems.
• Hands-on ML workflows in production, monitoring and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable ML systems and services.
• Own end-to-end delivery of ML features from data sourcing to deployment.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering to translate problems into ML solutions.
• Improve model quality, observability, and security of ML services.
• Mentor other engineers and promote ML best practices.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions in production.
