Job summary

Fetch is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer II for our Ad Ranking team. You will shape ranking, relevance, and optimization models that drive ad selection and delivery at scale, partnering with product, data, and platform teams.

The role blends production ML, data engineering, and low-latency serving. You will own experimentation, evaluation, and AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development while upholding reliability and performance in a fast-moving marketplace.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with production ML or data-driven systems.
• Strong Python skills; Go knowledge and production deployment experience.
• Experience with AWS and distributed systems for training pipelines and online inference.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve ML models for ad ranking, relevance, and optimization.
• Implement active learning strategies and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Leverage LLMs to reduce development and annotation effort.
• Own experimentation, offline and online evaluation, and production inference for ranking components.
• Collaborate with product, data, and platform teams to translate advertiser and user experience gaps into ML improvements.
• Maintain reliability, latency, and data quality in production ranking systems.
• Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate development and prototyping.
