Motional, a driverless technology company headquartered in Boston, seeks a Senior Engineer for the ML Data Services team. You will design APIs, build scalable data pipelines in AWS, and ensure reliable data services for Autonomy ML.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience with Python
• 5+ years of web backend development with REST APIs and microservices
• 3+ years of AWS cloud experience (DynamoDB, API Gateway, EKS, Lambda, OpenSearch, Redshift, S3)
• 3+ years of data engineering with AWS Step Functions, Airflow or Prefect
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in cross-functional teams and quarterly road map design
• Hands-on experience using AI coding tools to accelerate development
• Ability to mentor junior engineers
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Restful APIs and microservices for data labeling and annotations
• Architect, build and maintain scalable data processing pipelines with cloud ETL technologies
• Own highly-available backend services and APIs storing terabytes of data
• Collaborate with leadership to define objectives, timelines and deliverables
• Design and develop monitoring and observability services for data pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers to improve SDLC skills and code quality
