Job summary

GEICO seeks a Distinguished Machine Learning Engineer to lead strategic ML initiatives, architect scalable ML systems, and align ML efforts with business goals. You will guide cross-functional teams through the full lifecycle of models and promote best practices for interpretability and fairness.

You will monitor production models, ensure governance and security, and drive compliance across cloud platforms while collaborating with leadership on strategic ML roadmaps.

Qualifications

• B.S./M.S. in ML, CS, Stats, Math, or related field.
• 10+ years designing and implementing ML systems.
• Experience with data governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of ML algorithms, large-scale data pipelines, real-time serving.
• Proven ability to scale models in production and monitor/alert.
• Leadership, mentoring and delivering high-impact ML projects.
• 10+ years of Python/Java proficiency.
• 10+ years with data orchestration tools (DBT, Airflow).
• 8+ years with big-data tech (Spark, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Snowflake, Neo4j).
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure focusing on ML services (SageMaker, etc.).
