Job summary

GEICO is seeking an accomplished Senior Staff ML Engineer to lead generative AI initiatives. This role focuses on architecting scalable AI/ML solutions, orchestrating AI agent workflows, and ensuring reliability and value across internal and customer-facing applications.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate across product and data teams. Required are 8+ years in scalable AI/ML design, cloud deployments, and end-to-end SDLC ownership; strong Python/Java skills; and experience with LangSmith,

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and building scalable production AI/ML applications
• 5+ years owning end-to-end development and maintenance of AI/ML apps
• Experience with training, finetuning, real-time/batch inference and evaluation for AI/ML models
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes-based deployments, monitoring & alerting, production support
• Experience with agentic workflows and tools for LLM-based AI agents

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, development, and maintenance of high-performance AI solutions
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, software engineers, product managers and designers
• Integrate and build solutions within GEICO’s AI platform architecture
• Ideate and build first-of-its-kind solutions within GEICO
• Drive selection and implementation of software technologies and frameworks
• Lead project planning and stakeholder management
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design sessions
