Job summary

GEICO, the AI Modeling and Research team’s Distinguished Engineer role, focuses on ML modeling for customer intelligence and next-generation recommendation engines. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering/AI/ML.
• Advanced degree in Information Retrieval is a plus.
• 15+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience in production environments.
• 10+ years hands-on AI/ML experience in Recommendation.
• 5+ years building cross-functional partnerships with product and business.
• Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, design, and delivery of recommendation systems for major customer journeys.
• Define technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Architect scalable model ecosystems for various use cases.
• Establish best practices in ML modeling, data organization, and observability.
• Mentor and grow a high-performing team of ML engineers.
