Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Senior Manager of Machine Learning to lead a global team of data scientists, engineers, and AI researchers. You will guide model development, deployment, and responsible AI practices across Disney's Ad Platforms ecosystem in Seattle and beyond.

You will partner with product and engineering, influence architecture, ensure scalable pipelines, and mentor senior ICs while delivering high-impact ML solutions in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related field.
• 10+ years in industry with at least 5 years in people-management.
• Proven ability to translate business problems into scalable ML and GenAI solutions.
• Experience deploying ML/GenAI systems at scale using cloud and MLOps practices.
• Advanced programming proficiency (Python, Java) and ML/DL frameworks.
• Experience building, fine-tuning, evaluating, and deploying LLM-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and guide senior ICs and managers across data scientists, ML and AI engineers to deliver scalable solutions.
• Define strategic direction for ML projects with product and engineering stakeholders.
• Lead by example to improve design for scalable, clean, decoupled implementations.
• Drive adoption of best practices in model development, testing, and documentation.
• Oversee end-to-end ML workflow from data collection to deployment across the platform.
