Job summary

Thompson Software Solutions is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Mission Systems to design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for avionics. You will contribute to mission computing, data links, sensors, CNI, displays, and related weapon systems to enable real-time performance.

The role requires 5+ years in C/C++ and hands-on experience with mission systems architectures, plus the ability to work onsite and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline is required.
• 5+ years of C/C++ development experience.
• Experience in mission systems software architecture, including design, development, and integration.
• Software development across mission systems such as data links, sensors, CNI, displays, weapon systems, or EW systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate, and test software for core mission capabilities.
• Work within complex avionics architectures to deliver real-time functional software.
• Collaborate with multi-site teams and program deployment teams.
