Job summary
Thompson Software Solutions (TSS) in Marietta, GA is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to advance avionics software for military aircraft platforms. You will develop, integrate, and test safety-critical embedded software across Linux, Windows, and bare-metal environments, collaborating with a multi-site team and supporting flight-critical systems.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of embedded software experience, strong C++ skills for safety-critical avionics, and familiarity with RTOS
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
- C++ development for safety-critical avionics systems.
- Real-Time Operating Systems (MOSA.ic, VxWorks, Integrity).
- Embedded application development in Linux (Yocto/RHEL), Windows, & Bare Metal environments.
- Software integration & test in lab and hardware environments.
- Ability to work onsite 100%.
- Ability to travel 10%.
Responsibilities
- Develop, integrate, and test embedded software for avionics platforms.
- Collaborate with multi-site teams across development, integration and deployment.
- Contribute to mission-critical software that supports safety and performance.
