Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to advance next-gen space control systems. You will build simulations, perform mission analyses, and guide system-level engineering decisions across the full program lifecycle.

The role emphasizes modeling, trade studies, and collaboration with government customers. Onsite work is in Centennial, CO or Long Beach, CA with TS/SCI or TS/SAP eligibility a must.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mission analysis, space operations, or orbital mechanics.
• Strong understanding of orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, and autonomous space operations.
• Hands-on experience with mission analysis tools such as STK, FreeFlyer, GMAT, or similar software.
• Proficiency in simulation tools and programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, or C++.
• Experience with mission planning and real-time mission support.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI or TS/SAP U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, simulation, and analysis of rendezvous and proximity operations mission trajectories.
• Lead the design, simulation, and analysis of constellation mission performance.
• Optimize spacecraft maneuvers to achieve mission objectives while considering fuel efficiency, timing, and risk mitigation.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies and customers.
• Oversee the integration of mission systems and coordinate with subsystem teams to troubleshoot challenges.
• Support mission operations teams during testing and real-time mission execution.
