Job summary

True Anomaly seeks a Mission Architect to define and execute the missions for advanced space systems. You will own mission definition, trade studies, and technical direction across a system-of-systems lifecycle, from contract award to mission completion.

You will collaborate with customers and internal teams to document objectives, develop architecture, and ensure mission readiness. A TS/SCI clearance is required or obtainable; near Denver or Long Beach location.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in mission analysis, space operations, or orbital mechanics.
• Strong technical leadership and systems architecture experience.
• Deep understanding of orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics, and autonomous space operations.
• Hands-on with mission analysis tools such as STK, FreeFlyer, GMAT or similar.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or C++.
• Experience with mission planning and real-time mission support.
• Must have or be able to obtain TS/SCI or TS/SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Define and document mission objectives, system requirements, and operational concepts with stakeholders.
• Translate needs into engineering solutions within constraints.
• Lead system trade studies, performance evaluations, and feasibility assessments.
• Design kill-chain and fire-control architecture; perform mission modeling and simulations.
• Oversee system integration and verification across subsystems and platforms.
• Prepare technical reports and briefings for customers and government agencies.
