Job summary

True Anomaly is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to define, analyze, and ensure successful implementation of mission requirements across satellite command and control infrastructure. You will lead requirements development, traceability, and verification across C2 networks, telemetry, and ground stations, coordinating with cross-functional teams to drive design integrity.

You will perform risk assessments, support integration and test planning, and lead design reviews to ensure mission readiness

Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience leading ground control systems through design, test, and verification.
  • Familiarity with Type 1 encryption in space-ground interfaces.
  • Experience with AaaS solutions for defense programs.
  • Understanding TCPED lifecycle for ground control systems.
  • Knowledge of C2 signal chain modulation/demodulation encoding/decoding.
  • Experience with RMF/NIST SP-800-53 security controls.
  • Strong leadership in systems architecture and program delivery.
  • U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility for government work.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and internal teams to define mission objectives and system requirements.
  • Translate mission needs into engineering solutions within constraints.
  • Lead system trade studies, performance evaluations, and feasibility assessments for architecture.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation for stakeholders.
  • Develop system-level integration and verification plans and perform end-to-end testing.
  • Coordinate with subsystems to troubleshoot integration challenges and ensure readiness.
  • Support mission operations during testing and real-time execution.
  • Analyze system performance, reliability, safety, and mission effectiveness under varied environments.
  • Assess risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans for safe mission execution.
