General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a Senior Mission Systems Analyst (Engineer III) to join the AMS Engineering team in San Diego, CA.

You will develop and apply simulation tools to validate unmanned systems performance and translate concepts into tested ideas for defense programs. The role involves building custom algorithms, extending simulation capabilities, and delivering technical reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with progressive experience (4+ years with a BA/BS or 2+ years with a MS/PhD).
• Proficiency with AFSIM or similar simulation environments (NGTS/STORM).
• Advanced MATLAB programming; strong C++, JavaScript, or Python skills.
• Experience developing custom algorithms for simulation environments and CONOPS.

Responsibilities

• Model and simulate for military aircraft projects and analyze performance.
• Build/run simulations across air/land/sea/space domains using AFSIM and Command PE.
• Develop and implement custom simulation extensions and plugins.
• Translate system requirements into reusable models and logic for simulations.
• Deliver reports and visuals to stakeholders; support research and proposals.
