Job summary

AT&T Global Public Sector in Chantilly, Virginia, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee performance, operation and maintenance of mission-critical telecommunications network services, directing governance across the NOC/SOC, service desk, and incident/change processes.

This senior leadership role requires 10+ years in operations management in safety-critical environments, strong executive communication, and the ability to coordinate across customers, suppliers and technical teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience managing services in operations for safety-critical environments as defined by FAA
• Experience leading complex telecom, managed network, or enterprise IT operations
• Experience with network monitoring, service assurance, incident/change management, maintenance and performance

Responsibilities

• Lead performance, operations, maintenance, and service assurance of critical government network services
• Direct operations governance across NOC/SOC, service desk, incident, problem, change, maintenance, restoration and performance-management processes
• Establish standards, escalation paths, performance measures, service reviews and continuous-improvement practices
• Coordinate with program management, engineering, security, test, BSS/OSS, suppliers, subcontractors and customer stakeholders
• Ensure new and transitioned services meet readiness criteria including monitoring, documentation and handoffs
• Oversee operational reporting, SLAs, major incident response, root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Provide clear operational status, risks, trends, recommendations and recovery strategies to AT&T and customer leadership
