Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE), an Akima Company, supports USARCENT Mission Command Systems (MCSS) and Battle Command services for 24/7 operations across the CENTCOM AOR. The Senior Systems Administrator will engineer, install, operate, and maintain MCSS components, ensuring interoperability and security in a demanding DoD environment.

The role requires active security clearance, DoD 8570 IAT certifications, VMware expertise, and a proactive, customer-focused approach to sustain

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• High School diploma with 3+ years MCS/ABCS experience.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT II certification at hire (IAT II/III acceptable).
• CE certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with VMware: building/maintaining VMs.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, install, operate and maintain USARCENT Mission Command Systems and services.
• Support interoperability with GCCS-A/J, PASS, DDS, CPOF/CPCE and related systems.
• Ensure security, efficiency, and integrity of MCSS and virtual/enterprise servers.
• Perform ACAS and Nessus scans monthly and IAVA updates quarterly.
