Job summary

Globalstar in San Diego seeks a Senior Mission Analyst to perform daily orbit determination and support orbit raising for its LEO satellites. You will join a team establishing and maintaining the constellation, with new satellites scheduled for launch this year and next.

The role requires a Master’s or higher in a relevant field, 10+ years in satellite operations, and strong Python/STK/ODTK skills, offering growth in a cutting-edge space program and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in Aerospace, Physics or a closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience with satellite operations, orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, or spacecraft flight dynamics.
• 5+ years of experience with general satellite knowledge including components, mass properties, satellite attitude, propulsion.
• Expertise with Orbit Mechanics / Dynamics, Orbit determination, Ephemeris generation, and maneuver planning.
• Experience developing and maintaining STK and ODTK using Python.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily orbit determination calculations and propagation.
• Model, analyze, and simulate orbital trajectories with STK/ODTK.
• Generate daily orbit data for satellite contacts and plan maneuvers.
• Provide 24/9 on-call support for anomaly resolution.

What You Will Be Doing At Globalstar

As a Senior Mission Analyst, you will perform daily orbit determination calculations and support orbit raising operations, for both old and new Low Earth Orbiting satellites. Several new satellites are scheduled for launch this and next year, and you will be part of the team supporting the establishment and maintenance of this constellation.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Orbit Determination & Analysis:Perform orbit determination, propagation, and analysis using mathematical models.
• STK Utilization:Use AGI’s Systems Tool Kit (STK), including ODTK, to model, analyze, and simulate orbital trajectories.
• Operational Support:Generate daily orbit data for satellite contacts, perform maneuver planning (orbit raising, station keeping), and support launch operations.
• Anomaly Resolution:Provide 24/9 on‑call support for troubleshooting and anomaly resolution.
• Software Development:Support and develop scripts (Python, MATLAB, ) to automate orbital analysis tasks.

What You Will Bring To Globalstar

• Master's or higher in Aerospace, Physics or closely related field
• 10+ years of experience with satellite operations, orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, or spacecraft flight dynamics
