Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Sr. Mission Management Project Leader (Senior Project Leader – AI/ML) to guide the next generation of SIGINT ground systems architecture for the NRO SGSPO.

This onsite role at Westfields, Chantilly, VA focuses on integrating AI/ML enhancements, leading cross-functional teams, and coordinating multi-phase acquisition efforts with Federal partners. You will build and guide teams delivering resilient mission management solutions, align activities with customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physical sciences or related technical field
• 10+ years of ground or space systems acquisition engineering experience
• Experience leading high-performing engineering teams
• Experience in AI/ML, space mission management systems, GEOINT, SIGINT, agile software development, or related domains
• Willing to travel domestically ~30% to support customer activities
• Requires current TS/SBI/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship for clearance eligibility

Responsibilities

• Integrate Aerospace contributions to US Government leadership to build acquisition strategies
• Coordinate across ground and mission segments to meet user needs for multi-phase efforts
• Lead Aerospace subject matter expert teams to develop enhanced mission management tech
• Integrate new mission systems and sensors into a flexible mission management architecture
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI/ML for improved mission management and orchestration
• Budget and prioritize activities to maximize impact aligned with customer efforts
