Job summary

APEX TK LLC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead or participate in analysis of future Missile Defense System architectures and M&S tool development to support architecture assessment. You will assess capability gaps against threats, develop solutions, and drive analysis plans and reports.

The role requires active clearance, TS/SCI eligibility, and substantial DoD/MDS experience, with strong communication and time-management skills to deliver clear results.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent work experience with 8+ years in related professional roles.
• Master's Degree or equivalent may be preferred at this level.
• Solid understanding of current MDS architecture and future concepts.
• Experience in modeling, assessment, and evaluation of future missile defense architectures.
• Strong ability to interpret results and present findings clearly.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assess missile defense system capability gaps, challenges, needs, and opportunities and develop potential architecture solutions.
• Develop analysis plans, execute MDS simulation tools, post-process results, and prepare architecture analysis briefs/reports.
• Support modeling and simulation efforts related to the above and tailor tools to specific analysis plans.
