Qualifications

  • 5-10 years mining safety experience.
  • MSHA Blue Card holder.
  • Extensive knowledge of MSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience conducting safety training and safety program administration.
  • Incident investigation experience with root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene principles and practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct MSHA-required safety training for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain active MSHA Blue Card certification and training records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company health and safety requirements.
  • Serve as an MSHA compliance resource and support regulatory inspections and audits.
  • Lead incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support industrial hygiene monitoring and occupational health initiatives.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and safety-related documentation.
  • Promote employee engagement and participation in health and safety programs.
  • Support emergency response planning and preparedness activities.
