Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer who will manage mining projects and project teams, helping clients navigate permitting and regulatory challenges across the Southwest.

You will mentor junior staff, contribute to business development, and expand CEC’s mining practice in AZ, NM, NV, UT, CA and CO while delivering technically rigorous solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Environmental of Mining Engineering
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in managing infrastructure design, civil engineering, permitting and/or environmental compliance activities for mining companies in the southwestern US
• Working knowledge of state and federal environmental laws and regulations as they relate to aggregate and hardrock mining
• Experience working with regulatory agency personnel in the southwestern US
• Ability to prepare manage and review permit applications and engineering plan submittals
• Demonstrated success in the development and execution of mining/quarry business development strategies including creation of market/client intelligence, win themes, visitation schedules, client relationship management, and revenue generation.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior staff, educating them about field data collection, engineering and environmental design parameters, as well as regulatory criteria for mining clients and projects.

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is looking for Senior Mining Engineer in our Phoenix, AZ office.
