Job summary

Navajo Transitional Energy Company, LLC is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to provide technical expertise in mine planning and design that delivers economically viable outcomes while meeting environmental and regulatory requirements. The role requires deep experience across all dimensions of mine planning and design and will drive project execution.

You will lead budgets, mentor staff, build strong agency relationships, review volumes and equipment data, and promote process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of six years relevant mining industry experience.
• State Surface Foreman Certification preferred.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in mine planning and design that are economically viable and meet environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Lead project management including planning and scheduling of capital and special projects.
• Develop and manage annual budget with cost and financial analysis.
• Mentor and develop less senior staff.
• Coordinate and guide overall mine planning and projects.
• Maintain strong agency relationships and ensure compliance with site permits.
