Job summary

Impact HR in Grand Junction, Colorado is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to lead all phases of mine planning and development—from exploration to production and reclamation. You will work closely with geologists, environmental engineers, and regulatory stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and sustainable mining plans aligned with corporate strategy.

This full-time, in-office role in Northwestern Colorado offers relocation assistance for candidates outside the area and long-term growth

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in mine planning, modelling and operations.
• P.E. license in Mining or related discipline is an asset.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects through all mining development phases.
• Expertise across underground, open-pit, and surface mining techniques.
• Strong safety, regulatory compliance, planning, budgeting, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead mine design, development planning, and operational strategies.
• Manage projects from initiation to completion including budgeting and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and environmental regulations and permits.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with geologists, environmental engineers, regulators, and stakeholders.
