Original Composites and Fibers is seeking a Sr. Engineer, R&D - Americas Minerals & Petrography to serve as the regional technical expert on minerals, glass chemistry, petrography, and analytical characterization across the Americas manufacturing network.

This role advances material understanding, supports supplier qualification, and partners with Sourcing, Operations, Innovation, and Quality to improve product quality, process capability, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead minerals, raw materials, glass chemistry, petrography, and analytical investigations across Americas manufacturing locations.
• Provide technical leadership to plant teams and cross-functional partners on material specifications and process improvement.
• Perform root-cause investigations and translate findings into corrective actions.
• Support sustainability, recycled materials, and supplier qualification initiatives.
• Mentor engineers and technicians in glass chemistry and petrography.
