Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in surveying/geomatics/mining-related field.
• Professional surveying/geomatics certification preferred.
• 5+ years mining/open pit surveying experience.
• Proficiency with surveying software and geospatial analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct open pit mine surveys to gather information.
• Use drones to conduct surveys.
• Develop and maintain detailed mine maps to track changes.
• Calculate volumes and tonnages of mined materials for reporting and inventory.
• Maintain survey equipment and software for accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide guidance and training to junior surveyors and support staff.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to meet mine goals.
