Job summary

Blue Moon Metals Inc. in Nevada is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to lead mine planning, design and optimization for safe, cost-effective operations at a remote site.

You will develop restart designs, optimize open pit and underground layouts, mentor engineers, and coordinate with exploration, permitting and operations to ensure plans meet strategic objectives. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering, a PE license (Nevada preferred), 10+ years of mining experience, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
• PE license or ability to obtain in Nevada preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of mining experience with planning/operations.
• Experience in open pit and underground operations.
• Proficiency with Deswik or similar mine planning software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support mine designs and plans for restarting operations.
• Design and optimize open pit and underground layouts, ramps, and sequencing.
• Ensure safety, regulatory, and environmental compliance.
• Collaborate with exploration, operations, permitting, and site teams.
• Mentor and supervise junior mine engineers.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and life-of-mine planning.
• Implement and maintain mine planning software/systems.
• Develop processes and procedures for mine planning.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
