Zusammenfassung

OceanaGold Corporation seeks an experienced mining engineer to oversee technical services planning for open-pit operations in South Carolina. You will guide pit design, drill and blast practices, and ensure safe, efficient execution in a dynamic mining environment.

You will mentor engineers, drive professional development, and collaborate with operations to achieve plan targets while maximizing ore recovery and minimizing dilution. Strong Deswik/Microsoft Office skills are preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years minimum, 8+ years preferred mining experience.
• At least 5 years of exposure to the gold mining industry in an open pit environment.
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to interpret and disseminate technical information between internal and external stakeholders.
• Deswik software skills are a plus
• Ability to work in both office and operational mining environments.

Aufgaben

• Oversee planning groups for pits, drill and blast design using advanced mine engineering practices.
• Provide zero-harm safety leadership and maintain critical control documentation.
• Mentor engineers and support development and succession planning for the team.
• Manage daily, weekly, and rolling three-month mine plans and optimize ore recovery.
