Freeport‑McMoRan in Morenci, AZ, is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to organize and oversee multiple engineering projects at a historic open-pit copper operation. You will guide planning, budgeting and regulatory compliance, partnering with site leaders and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years related experience in mining/engineering.
• Master’s degree in engineering with 3+ years related experience in mining/engineering.

Responsibilities

• Organize, manage and evaluate engineering projects to ensure timely, cost-effective completion.
• Review, investigate and develop recommendations for assigned projects.
• Lead large/complex site planning, construction, expansion or modifications.
• Advise site management on processes, practices and regulations.
• Develop and evaluate capital expenditure requests (AFEs).
• Collaborate with managers and external colleagues.
• Work with budget preparation and project budgeting.
