Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Senior Sustainment Systems Engineer to support a Space Systems Command program at Peterson Space Force Base, CO. This role focuses on enabling MILSATCOM and NC3 O&S missions for our nation’s warfighters.

The ideal candidate will lead SEIT activities, manage baselines, and apply DoW acquisition practices within a collaborative IPT, with up to 20% travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited university.
• 5 years experience in SE&I associated with system acquisitions and/or O&S.
• Expertise with requirements development and analysis and the development of systems engineering-related documents.
• Knowledge of Agile software development processes and applications (i.e., Jira/Confluence).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Engage government and corporate stakeholders to produce outstanding results.
• Provide senior-level critical thinking and problem solving to the government customer; drive technical challenges to resolution.
• Coordinate with DoW agencies to translate to mission-focused results.
• Learn and apply established government SEIT processes in MILSATCOM and NC3 O&S activities.
• Develop, analyze and maintain systems engineering documentation and capability requirements.
