Job summary

Hunter Contracting Co. in Arizona is seeking a seasoned millwright supervisor to lead installation, repair, and dismantling of heavy machinery at water and wastewater facilities. You will work with the project team to ensure safe, on-schedule work to plans and specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of millwright experience and 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and contracts.
• Knowledge of machinery installation, rigging, hoists, cranes, ropes, and cables.
• Ability to work safely at heights and in varied field conditions.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Plan and coordinate machinery and heavy equipment installation activities.
• Lead and direct crews and subcontractors, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety.
• Develop weekly 3-week look-ahead schedules, including labor and equipment needs.
• Monitor production, project progress, and job costs; identify issues and corrective actions.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Project Team and other departments.
• Inspect equipment upon delivery and before leaving the project; report damage or issues.
• Maintain quality control of work performed by crews and subcontractors.
• Enforce Hunter Contracting Co. safety policies and promote a strong safety culture.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
